Welcome to The Portsmouth & District LTA Website
Thought to have been established in 1947, The Portsmouth & District League promotes, supports and administers inter-club tennis competition for clubs around the wider Portsmouth City area and beyond.
With clubs located between Hedge End to the west and Chichester to the east and clubs from The Isle of Wight, The P&D offers the unusual experience of league tennis for the region involving travel to matches by car, train, ferry and hovercraft!
Supporting ladies, mens and mixed doubles adult and masters (over 50s) leagues through both summer and winter seasons, The P&D has 25 clubs affiliated to the association and currently operates nineteen winter divisions and nineteen summer divisions, with aproaching 500 matches played each season.
The P&D, therefore, can offer competitive inter-club tennis for a wide range of levels and ages, giving enjoyment to hundreds of keen players wishing to play all year round competitive tennis.
May we wish you all happy and enjoyable tennis wherever you are and whenever you play!
